How to Speed Up Windows 11 Safely
A safe Windows 11 speedup guide focused on startup apps, disk space, system repair, and diagnostics instead of risky booster tools.
Windows 11 can feel slow because of startup apps, low disk space, background processes, corrupted system files, or network issues. The safest approach is to diagnose first, then apply targeted fixes.
1. Check startup apps
Open Startup Apps settings:
start ms-settings:startupapps
Disable apps you recognize and do not need at startup. Avoid disabling security, driver, cloud sync, or work-required apps unless you understand them.
2. Check high memory processes
Get-Process | Sort-Object WorkingSet -Descending | Select-Object ProcessName, Id, @{Name="MemoryMB";Expression={[math]::Round($_.WorkingSet/1MB,1)}} -First 15
3. Repair system files
Run these from an elevated Command Prompt or PowerShell:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
4. Free disk space safely
Use Disk Cleanup, Storage Sense, and manual review of large files. Do not delete unknown system folders.
